In 2026, the most capable AI systems live in someone else's data centre. They watch every conversation, they bill you every month, and when you stop paying they keep the thing that actually mattered — your memory of them, and their memory of you.

Worse: your memory is what makes an assistant useful. If a company holds it, they hold the switching cost. That is not a product relationship. That is a hostage situation with a monthly invoice.

We think that is the wrong future. AI will change what it means to be human this century — and a power that large should not sit in a handful of corporate hands.

What we believe

• Your memories are yours. They live on your machine, in an open format you can export and read. No lock-in, no ransom.
• Every person deserves an AI of their own. From Sydney to Lagos to São Paulo to places AI has not reached yet — not a privilege for people who can afford $20 a month.
• Bring Your Own Key (BYOK). You pick the model and pay the provider directly at wholesale API rates — not a retail markup on a subscription tier.
• Private by architecture, not by promise. YOY opens no inbound ports, keeps memories and files local, and asks permission before it touches anything sensitive.
• Owned, not rented. YOY is free today — the full agent, no feature held back. No trial, no cut-down edition.

YOY is a desktop AI agent with three things most assistants do not have:

How we are funded

YOY AI Limited is independently funded and answerable to no outside investor on product direction. The agent is free to download and use today. If we ever introduce paid services, the core agent stays free — and we will say so plainly rather than hiding it in a footer.
